Why we do this

They give us their best. Let's help them feel theirs.

It's hard to watch a dog you love start to limp, hesitate at the stairs, struggle through a surgical recovery, or lose confidence in the way they move.

Canine Sapien Physical Therapy offers one-on-one, hands-on rehabilitation shaped around your dog — their body, their personality, and the life you share. We focus on steady, realistic progress and on giving you the tools to help at home.

TJ and Bubba on a coastal mountain summit during their travels

Meet TJ

It started with Bubba.

TJ Radic grew up in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Misericordia University, and rescued Bubba to be his travel companion. Together they explored more than 40 states.

After a hike in New Hampshire in 2022, Bubba suddenly couldn't bear weight on a hind leg. TJ trained with the Canine Rehabilitation Institute to help him recover — and found his calling.

FAQ

Questions owners ask

All questions
What is canine physical therapy?
Canine physical therapy (often called canine rehabilitation) uses hands-on techniques, targeted exercise, gait training, and supportive modalities to help dogs move with less discomfort and more strength and confidence. It works alongside — never in place of — your veterinarian's care.
Can physical therapy help an older dog?
Often, yes. Many senior dogs benefit from gentle strengthening, balance work, and comfort-focused care that supports everyday mobility like getting up, walking, and managing stairs. Every dog is different, so TJ will talk through realistic goals after an evaluation.
What happens during a first appointment?
The first visit is an evaluation. TJ will ask about your dog's history and daily life, watch how your dog moves, assess strength, range of motion, and comfort, and then talk with you about goals and a personalized plan — including what you can do at home.
Do you offer in-home appointments?
Yes. Mobile canine physical therapy is available now in eligible areas around the Front Range. Because it includes travel time, in-home care is offered as a premium convenience service.
Where is the Erie facility?
Our new rehabilitation facility is in Erie, Colorado, in a detached commercial space behind the Physical Therapy Center of Erie. The verified street address, entrance directions, and parking details will be posted here as soon as they're confirmed.
When will the Erie location open?
The Erie facility is coming soon. An opening date hasn't been announced yet — request an appointment or contact us and we'll keep you updated. Mobile appointments remain available in the meantime.
